I live near Tring in a village in the shadow of HS2 city dweller let me tell you a thing or two There's agricultural vehicles blocking up the roads and no place to party since the Tea Shop closed Forget about 5G, open mics or Wagamama the annual village fete was our nearest thing to glamour but they've cancelled Bonfire night and the Steam Fayre too We've hit negative equity - for things to do some of my neighbours haven't met a single soul since Corona unless you count waving at a man on a mower! It's a clear indication that your social life has failed when you're quite looking forward to a bi-monthly Plant Sale without mainstream interests - you'll struggle for friends try putting on a Comic Con - and see who attends there's three buses a week - to serve the whole community and unleashed dogs foul the footpaths with impunity ..................... Social problems with pot - holes in the roads there's plenty to do - if you're a toad Every day I hear gunshots - from the bird scarer frightening the crows in the fruit farm area We've got a Norman church with a dunce hat steeple the council care more about the environment than the people protection for the orchids and the bats and the glys glys (that's an endangered dormouse - just in case you've missed this) since lockdown the lack of entertainment round here is non-stop for culture why not go out... to the shop I've got a real ale addiction - I'm trying to swerve it but I never drank a pint of warm beer that didn't deserve it I've taken to Tring like a dog to a kennel but it could be worse - I could be living in Hemel We've got our problems here in inner city Buckinghamshire Not everything is 'nice' in a tractor's paradise
